What is means to belong is to be owned or to fit. Its very important most people who don’t feel belonged become very depressed. Human being feeling belonged is the first step to being happy. When you feel belonged you feel safe and comfortable with where you are. if human beings know people love them and who there around they also feel belonged. Feeling belonged can be caused by several different things but only by a few little people can make you feel that way.
Candy and his dog
Candy and his dad don’t get along with each other but they love each other. The same way Lennie and george didn’t get along but they loved each other. Both of their relationships are lonely without the other person but when they are with each other all they do is fight. They will make snoggy comments about each other but the other knows they truly didn’t mean it.
Hysteria
Merriam Webster- behavior exhibiting overwhelming or unmanageable fear or emotional excess.
Oxford- a state of extreme excitement, fear or anger in which a person, or a group of people, loses control of their emotions and starts to cry, laugh, etc.
I feel as if Lia was the one who shown hysteria the most in Episode 5 because Lia received news most people would be shocked to receive. She was in complete shock and dear that causes hysteria when she found out he was her uncle and she found a clip she’s had since high school. The effect was that she was speechless had no words.
big ideas and questions
The author has some big ideas like Morgan got expelled from the private Christian school and went to public school to become herself. Morgan is a track star who is the best to ever run people knew her for that, but didn’t know her for her true self. Morgan decided she wanted to go to a pride club and stand up to her track friends that sports and pride people can come together.
Questions I have is, is Morgan ever going to fit into the track team with the other girls? If she did i think it’d be great and people would understand that pride and sports people can get along. Another question I have is if Morgan after she comes out if she is still in track and a track star? I mean i hope she didn’t give up on her track dream because pride and sports people couldn’t mix in that school.

Man struggles against Nature- Up from the sea
Up from the sea shows that a guy struggles with nature. There was this use tsunami that took out the town he was living in and all of his family. He found out he has a father in America but has to get through multiple challenges with natural weather. As he’s plotting to get to his father he finds himself stuck in this town in a different country and wants to help the town out some more.
He helps with the town by finding food and many other things they could use. He finds this guy stuck on a bridge and has to help him because the bridge was in a spot that was going to have a flash flood any second. That’s just one out of the hundreds of natural disasters that happened to him at this time. He is on his way to find his father now and when he gets to America he realizes not every country is like the one he was living in.

Technology
I do think we rely to much on on technology. A lot of teachers and parents say they had learn learn someone because they wont have a GPS or calculator in their pocket all the time. But we do have one in our pocket all the time. We lack some resources we may need if we don’t have a phone. Some people like me don’t even know what North, South, West, or East are. As you can see, a lot of people in our generation rely on technology a lot.
The cost of replacing physical human interaction with technology is that you don’t know their actual tone. When you text you cant tell if someone is happy or mad or how their saying something. It makes the whole conversation kind of blandish. If your texting someone you know how to but you may not able to talk to them in person it may be hard because of technology.
Challenged Book
I think their is a point where all books can be challenged but one book i read in my 6th grade class, and it was challenged by a few parents. It was challenged because it talked about many different devastating moments in the book where a bunch of people passed and describing things scary.
The reason the book flight can be controversial is because it has a lot of bad words in it and can definitely get a rise of public. Issues in the book that are like teens today is definitely anger and emotional spots sometimes.
Similarities and Differences between Zits from Flight and Teens Today
Similarities
Loneness
49 Loneliness Statistics: How Many People Are Lonely?

“Social isolation is as unhealthy as smoking 15 cigarettes a day”.
That being lonely like Zits was, was super unhealthy. At the beginning zits had social isolation where it was just him all the time. At that time his mental health was unhealthy as a smokers lungs would be.
Anger
Anger, Irritability, and aggression in kids

“‘Anger’ is the name of a human emotion, and the history of anger is the story of how that emotion has been experienced and expressed in the past.”
This quote explains that anger was an emotion and discovered a long time ago. Zits had anger when they were first discovering it, they didn’t have any medicine or anything back then.
American Indian
True diaries of an American Indian whos proud to be an American.

“American Indians are killed by police at a higher rate than any other racial or ethnic group, according to CDC data.”
Hank and art were two white cops and they killed junior. Zits to this day doesn’t know why they were killing junior.
Differences
Loneness

“Our health and development are marked by our involvement in community social activities, our ability to take care of ourselves, our level of control over the circumstances of our lives, and by the context in which our relationship with the neighborhood, community and society takes place”
Zits was in and out of foster homes he didn’t have the chance to have neighbors, friends, or even community. As of now today they have it better set up and you’d have the chance to have friends and community to help out.
Anger

“The British people voted by 52 percent to 48 percent to leave the European Union, and ‘anger’ soon emerged as an explanation.”
People aren’t leaving anymore because they have found medicine now for anger. The anger will help people who get really angry a lot with their anger.
American Indian

“The Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) was enacted in 1978 in response to a crisis affecting American Indian and Alaska Native children, families, and tribes.”
Now they have certain criteria now that you have to pass to be a foster parent most American Indians wont struggle if they don’t fit in with the ICWA anymore. Zits struggled because they didn’t have certain standards yet.
Books
I think the book that shouldn’t be exposed to children is the dust bowl. I had to read that book in 6th grade for an essay and to me it was very complicated. I wasn’t in that time and it was a very big book with very complicated words. I think Charlettes web should be banned from kids, teens, and adults. It is a creepy book and just weird.
Connecting to the book flight
There are many spots in the article (AIM) that we can connect to the book flight. A lot of the books and articles are the same about how people treated Indians then. In the article AIM it says ” to protest programs controlling reservation development”(paragraph 2). In the article and it says their reservations were controlled but it is similar to the book because in the book on theirs they didn’t have a lot of control of what to do either. I think there area lot of connections in the book and in the article but this was the one that stuck out the most.
